Goettingen/Germany, April 29, 2026 | Neurapix has released new features for its free image selection tool Neurapix Culling (Beta). The German company's AI can now group and sort photos based on various parameters and provides specific recommendations, for example identifying the sharpest eye in a series of images.

Initially, Neurapix Culling focused primarily on fast and easy image selection directly within Lightroom. The AI was already able to detect open eyes, smiling subjects, and looks directed at the camera to simplify the selection process. From now on, the AI can group and sort photos according to various parameters.

The foundation for this: Neurapix AI now understands visually similar photos and can display them together on a single page for direct comparison. This grouping can also be applied to continuous shooting sequences ('burst shots').

For example, images can be sorted by the 'sharpest eye' within a photo series. This means photographers only need to confirm the image in the first position and can then move straight on to the next page.

Focus points & filtering by ratings

Users can now also display the focus points set by their camera when taking the photo. This makes it easy to check which image in a series has the most precise focus.

In addition to other smaller efficiency improvements within the tool, photos can now also be filtered by existing ratings, which significantly simplifies a multi-step selection process (e.g. first three stars, then four).

"The latest update is a big step forward - photographers can look forward to a significantly improved user experience this spring," says Neurapix co-founder and CEO Nils Sauder. "We currently have several new features in development that we will roll out over the coming months to further accelerate the image selection process."

Neurapix Culling remains free of charge and is automatically included in the Neurapix Lightroom plugin. The new features are available automatically after the initial installation or an update of the plugin.
